Special Projects... by Irwin Consulting and Solutions LLC

I am always looking at how emerging technologies can improve people's lives, bringing tegether my background in both Psychology and Computer Science. The three I am activelyl pursuing are 1) support for those experiencing cognitive or memory challenges, 2) a way to detect potential genetic issues with a simple mobile application, and 3) a collaboration site to discuss, in a light-hearted way, insights into those simple but hard-to-achieve principles seen in successful organizations.

Memory Support Genetic Anomaly Detection Innovative Collaboration
I have a provisional patent and proof of concept for a solution to help people with cognitive and memory challenges associated with, but not limited to, issues of aging. PLEASE CONTACT ME IF you are knowledgable about behavioral aspects of human memory and are interested in contributing in any way, you have developer or technical skills and would enjoy supporting such a project using very cutting-edge technologies, you are part of a caregiving community and find this interesting, or you know of funding or grants to accelerate or shape this area! I am exploring using deep learning models for early detection of genetic issues. The objective is to make this available to new parents and caregivers so they can bring concerns to specialists as early as possible with little or no cost. Early detection leads to early intervention whihc leads to better outcomes! This work-in-progress compares stories working with some emotionally challenged people from my clinical psychology experience and the state of the IT industry. It is a light-hearted treatment of the evolution of computer science - from the days of developing assembly code to prompt engineering for gen-AI systems. It attempts to provide insight into timeless principles that are constantly being repackaged as new approaches for development and collaboration. It is intended to bolster employees who challenge fossilized corporate machinery that impedes creativity and often disenfranchises the strongest contributors.
